Souls unofficially designates a series of action-RPG video games developed by the Japanese studio FromSoftware, known as the “Souls series”. Created by Hidetaka Miyazaki, it begins with the release of Demon's Souls in 2009, followed by that of Dark Souls in 2011 and its sequels Dark Souls II (2014) and Dark Souls III (2016). A remastered version of Dark Souls was released in 2018, as well as a remake of Demon's Souls in 2020. The series is particularly known for its extreme difficulty.
